Christina (Norah Swineburne) is a young Scottish woman who inherits a fortune and decides she should have a lord for a husband. With the help of her young lover (Colin McCrae), she is introduced into high society and becomes the toast of the monied elite. David Hawthorne, Sara Sample, and Francis Lister also appear in this rags-to-riches saga of desperate social climbers clawing their way into high society.
