Synopsis by Rebecca Flint Marx
An Israeli documentary about the effect of maternal abuse and the bond of sisterhood, Fortuna takes its title from the name of the imposing and uncaring mother of the six Dvash sisters, who have survived a good deal of childhood trauma at the hands of their mother. Over the years the sisters have participated in yearly reunions, relying on one another for emotional support and strength.
