A decorated U.S. Army medic discovers that her relationship with her young son may be damaged beyond repair upon returning from a long tour of duty in Afghanistan and attempting to resume her duties as a single mother. Maggie Swann (Michelle Monaghan) served her country well on the battlefield, and now that she's back home, she's eager to reconnect with her five-year-old son. Doing so proves especially difficult, however, when the horrible sights she witnessed overseas follow her back home. Later, upon discovering that she faces redeployment, Maggie wrestles with the realization that her duties as a soldier clash directly with her responsibilities as a mother. Ron Livingston and Emmanuelle Chriqui co-star.
