Synopsis by Augustine Chay

Writer-director Daniel G. Karslake’s documentary examines the backlash from the religious right against the legalization of same-sex marriage by the American Supreme Court in 2015. It critiques the use of the Bible and the U.S. Constitution’s guarantee of religious freedom as a means to thwart the goal of marriage for LGBT citizens. By foregrounding the stories of families embroiled in this conflict, it advocates for reconciliation and acceptance.
