Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

A mother wrestling with crippling depression fights to regain custody of her children in this period drama based on a true story. Mary Walker already had a history of depression when her husband Peter was killed in a motorcycle accident in late December of 1978. Devastated by that sudden loss, Mary quickly turns suicidal, prompting social services to claim custody of her two young sons, Paul and James. As the two frightened boys are shuffled between foster homes, James puts his faith in God as Paul grows dangerously unstable. Then, just when it began to seem that this family had been shattered beyond repair, a kindly Christian therapist helps to restore the faith of struggling mother Mary. But Mary's struggle is still far from over, because it will take much more than a miracle for her to untangle the web of bureaucracy that has ensnared her beloved sons.
