Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Not to be confused with the long-running Australian medical series The Flying Doctors, The Flying Vet was a "reality" vehicle for real-life veterinarian Peter Trembeth. The series' camera crew followed Trembeth as he piloted his private plane around 500,000 square meters of Australia's Northern Territory, tending to ailing kangaroos, wombats, and other indigenous creatures. Occasionally, Dr. Trembeth forsook the wilderness to pay a house call and tend to a domesticated animal. The Flying Vet was seen on Australian cable's Lifestyle Channel beginning in 2001.
