Hazel Doupe, Dara Devaney, Johnny Collins, and Hilda Fay star in writer-director Carmel Winters’s feminist coming-of-age drama. Set in the Irish countryside during the 1960s, it follows a teenage girl’s quest to emulate her idol, the boxing legend Muhammad Ali. She hopes to become a fighter on the ring and in society as well. A battle of wills unfolds between her and her alcoholic father, an ex-convict who envisions a more traditional future for her.
