Synopsis by Olivia Cantor

Writer and director Jonas Poher Rasmussen hybridizes the documentary and animated film genres to tell the story of Amin Nawabi, a former refugee from Afghanistan preparing to marry his long-time partner Kaspar. Harboring the secret of their relationship for twenty years, Amin feels compelled to discuss his experiences before the wedding unfolds. Delving into his past, Amin tells of his childhood in a war-torn Kabul. As the Mujahideen closed in on the city, Amin fled his home, embarking on an intense journey to pursue freedom, the physical and emotional trials of which continue to haunt him.
