Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Produced in Germany by Eurokind Entertainment Film Productions, the animated series Fixi and Foxi revolved around the antics of a pair of mischievous fox cubs. Created by Rolf Kauka, the series was inspired by a radio series of the same name, which in turn was based on the comic magazine by Peter Menningen. The series' 26 20-minute episodes chronicled the exploits of Fixi and Foxi, in addition to those of Granny Eusebia and Uncle Fax, their canine friends Lupo and Lupinchen, and an erudite crow named Professor Knox. The theme music, by Matthias Raue, briefly enjoyed hit-record status in Europe. Produced in the late '90s, Fixi and Foxi was shown on British television beginning in 1999.
