Directed by Keith Thomas, this adaptation of Stephen King’s novel of the same name is also a reboot of the 1984 film version. This science-fiction horror stars Zac Efron as Andy, a loving and caring father guiding his young daughter Charlie (Ryan Kiera Armstrong) to control and subdue her psychic ability known as pyrokinesis, wherein she can evoke and start real-life fires through her mind. But this power is also a liability as her family continues to hide and evade government forces bent on capturing and examining Charlie and her abilities. Also starring Sydney Lemmon and Gloria Reuben.
