Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

Two American war correspondents attempt to help a young Iraqi girl track down her missing G.I. father in the U.S. after her mother is killed during an RPG attack in a village near Baghdad. Jodi McKinnon (Jennifer Fontaine-Painting) and Jake Ramirez (David Mattey-Hancock) were investigating the mystery of Gulf War Syndrome when they traveled to a small Iraqi village to speak with some U.S. soldiers. Just as the interviews are getting underway, however, an RPG missile obliterates the home of Aaseamah Khalid (Dominique Joelle), instantly killing the young girl's mother. In the chaos, Jake rescues Aaseamah, and hands her over to Iraqi officials. Later, upon arriving back home in the U.S., Jake and Jodi are shocked to find that Aaseamah has managed to sneak into the country. She's determined to find her father, John Smith, but all she knows about him is that he is G.I. from Iowa. Recognizing the difficult task ahead but refusing to turn down the young girl with an unbreakable spirit, ambitious journalist Jodi agrees to help Aaseamah find her father, and together they set out on an adventure that will forever change the way they look at the world.
