Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Manly Universal star Frank Mayo dons some fancy clothes for this murder mystery. Andrew Forsdale (Mayo) bets ten thousand dollars that within 30 days, he can find a girl that his friend, Ned Randolph (Jackson Read), will love. With the help of his Aunt Lydia (Elinor Hancock), Forsdale picks out three girls: Helen Leigh (Jacqueline Logan), Julia Gunther (Jean Calhoun), and Anna Hughes (Ruth Ashby). The two pals take the girls and Vic Ragner, who is holding the money (Colin Kenny), up to Aunt Lydia's mansion in Maine. Forsdale finds himself falling in love with Helen and lives in fear that Randolph will choose her. Before too long, the game is interrupted by tragedy -- Ragner is found dead near a safe, and a hundred-thousand-dollar diamond is found missing. The girls are all under suspicion, as is the butler Barclay (Gordon Sackville), who, it turns out, is Helen's father. Julia is discovered to be part of a gang of crooks, and one of them is the killer. In the end, Randolph loses the bet by falling in love with Forsdale's niece, Jean (Gertrude Olmstead).
