Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Out in the desert, a group of cowboys find a weakling (William Desmond); they take him to their ranch and put him to work, but he keeps a distance from the others. On pay day, however, they cajole him into accompanying them into town. At the dance hall, he meets the Fury (Claire McDowell) and a mutual attraction springs up. The two meet up again at a rodeo, when the Fury is accompanied by the dance hall proprietor, China Mex (Jack Richardson). Mex attempts to ride a wild bronco and is thrown off like everyone else. The Weakling, however, gives it a try and stays on. China Mex has a fit and slugs the Weakling, who goes back to the dance hall and just about destroys the place, taking the Fury with him. After they cross the border, the Weakling admits that he is an Army officer who was accused of stealing certain papers. He has been trying to clear his name, but when he returns to the post, he finds out that the man who really stole the papers has already confessed.
