Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

When a white child is taken from the black parents who lovingly raised him and placed in the care of the white family the government believes to be his biological relatives, a powerless mother must move heaven and Earth to reclaim her child in an emotionally charged family drama from director Katinka Heyns. After wandering off into the Knysna Forest and never returning, a young white boy is presumed dead, never to be seen again. When census officials discover a white child living with a black family on the other side of the forest nine years later, however, the child is presumed to be the missing boy, taken from the grieving Fiela, and placed back in the care of his "original" family. Cruelly exploited by his biological parents, desperate to return to the care of the kindly Fiela, and deeply in love with the girl he believes to be his sister, the helpless boy grows into a haunted young man as Fiela strives to find the power to let her love be known.
