Review by Hans J. Wollstein

Filmed at the Lazy A Ranch in Chatsworth, CA, in April of 1937, this minor -- very minor -- B-Western was the creation of notorious cheapskate Sam Katzman, a fact which, for devotees of the genre, says it all. Suffice it to say, this Western is as slipshod as they come, but Tom Tyler makes a strapping hero and the old "changing identity with a noted outlaw" plot serves him well. Milburn Morante, as Tyler's sidekick, "performs" "The Old Chisholm Trail," but is rather obviously dubbed and the whole enchilada premiered not in New York or Los Angeles but in faraway Lincoln, NE.
