Synopsis by Connor McMadden
This Swiss situation comedy is a knockoff of Married With Children, featuring a laid-off cookie factory executive named Max Brugger who is forced into the role of housekeeper when his wife Angela becomes the breadwinner. Among the problems with which Max must contend are the growing pains of his daughter Katherine, the insults of his annoying feminist neighbor Elian, and the unwanted presence of his live-in brother-in-law, Erich. Like its predecessors in the sitcom program at SFDRS (Switzerland's national broadcasting system), Fascht e Familia and Mannerzimmer, the humor and scripting suffer from an overall lack of know-how. But the sets and sometimes risqué subject matter (given Switzerland's conservative nature) are an evolutionary step forward.
