Synopsis by Mark Deming
Arlene Sue Farber stars in this vintage sexploitation opus which has won a cult following among fans of '70s Eurotrash cinema. Angelique (Tiger) is a beautiful young woman born into less-than-fortunate economic circumstances who wants to live the good life. Angelique is hired as a domestic servant by Count DiMedici (Vassili Lambrinos), who has accumulated a vast fortune through his business acumen. Angelique soon finds her way into DiMedici's bed, and it isn't long before she also becomes intimate with his son, Alain (Andre Landzaat), the Count's paramour, Francesca (Jean Avery), a stable hand who had previously preferred the company of men (and horses), and a number of the participants at an orgy at sea where Angelique has been dosed with LSD. Handsomely produced by sexploitation standards, Female Animal was shot on-location in Puerto Rico with a primarily Spanish and Italian crew.
