Three alienated teenagers steal a car and take a joy ride that leads to disaster. Unaware that the vehicle is stolen, the threesome, an amorous couple and their disturbed friend, travel to visit the girl's mother. The most troubled of the group finds a revolver in the back seat and makes a suicide pact with his two companions. The girl passes her boyfriend a note telling him not to go through with the plan, but the gun goes off and the panic-stricken survivors head for the border, traumatized by the events that have transpired in this tale of teenage tragedy.
