Synopsis by Janiss Garza

When ranchman Lon Gilchrist (Hobart Bosworth) sees some Indians holding up a stagecoach, he goes after them. One has kidnapped a baby, and Lon rescues it and brings it back to its mother. Over the next few years Lon becomes a wealthy rancher, and the woman -- who he has lost track of -- dies. The baby, now on the brink of young womanhood (Helen Wolcott), supports herself by working as a waitress in a cafe. Lon meets her there and, without realizing who she is, courts her. They marry and he brings her home to his ranch. But he has become set in his ways and doesn't know how to show his love to his young wife and she thinks he has grown tired of her. She runs away, and only months later, does he find out that he has become a father. He goes to the city to find his wife and baby, and when he tells her the story of the child he saved from the Indians, she reveals that she was that infant.
