Synopsis by Hal Erickson
This spot-gag visit to a typical American farm has a memorable opener, as an unseen artist "paints" a rustic landscape right before our eyes. One of the best gags finds a horse going through its repertoire of tricks, including a trot, a gallop, and a cantor--Eddie Cantor, that is. Other bits worth noting feature an uneasy friendship between a cat and a mouse, a watchdog who likes to read the funny papers, and a running gag involving a bunch of anxious piglets and a world-weary Mama pig (who sounds like, but isn't, ZaSu Pitts).
