Synopsis by Tracie Cooper
Directed by Eitan Londner, Under Water centers around Michal, an unpopular teen carefully trying to re-establish the relationship with her father, who had abandoned her after converting to Judaism years ago. Her mother provides little comfort; choosing to focus on her own life near exclusively, and having parents residing at opposite ends of the spectrum leave Michal struggling to find her own place in life. Though she does find some solace in the swim team, she rarely wins a competition. Luckily, there's one schoolmate, a lonely artist named Dror, who enjoys Michal's company more than she initially realizes.
