Fanny & Elvis is a romantic comedy that takes place at the onset of the millennium. Would-be-author Kate Dickson finds out that she has only a year left to get pregnant. But her husband has just run off with one of his students. The focus of the film is her search for an intelligent, healthy, good-looking sperm donor. Kate is thrust into the world of sperm counts, ovulation, and IVF. The film, which was also scripted by the director, is a commentary on relationships, sex, and fertility in a new millennium.
