Synopsis by Sally Barber
A four-part series, Exploring Environments, examines the ways in which animals adapt to different and distinct habitats. Footage captures exotic creatures in their home environments and raises awareness of the complexities of the natural world. Part one, At Home in the Rain Forest, explores the levels of the tropical forest sheltered beneath its canopy. It looks at the array of animals that live there, including snakes, snails, possums, and frogs. Other programs in the series are Frogs and Toads, At Home on the Barrier Reef, and Reptiles. The programs are best suited for elementary and junior high youth.
