Convinced that monsters are lurking in her room, little Ally (Madlyn Sweeten) scurries to the safety of her parents' bed--night after night after night. Worried that they'll never get any sleep, Ray (Ray Romano) and Debra (Patricia Heaton) go through an elaborate charade of "killing" the imaginary monsters, even dragging in a "hit man"--namely, Frank (Peter Boyle)--to finish the job. When all else fails, Ray invites his mom Marie (Doris Roberts) to spend the night with Ally. Unfortunately, he does this without first consulting Debra (Patricia Heaton)--whose reaction upon finding out threatens to out-monster any of Ally's monsters.
