Synopsis by Mark Deming
In the '70s, Evel Knievel was the world's most famous motorcycle daredevil, staging massive bike jumps in which he literally risked his life to please his fans. He's crashed enough times to break nearly every bone in his body. Evel Knievel's Spectacular Jumps features rare footage of 11 of Knievel's most spectacular stunts -- from his near-fatal jump over the fountain at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas to an ambitious but failed attempt to cross the Snake River Canyon in a steam-powered rocket. He also had a spectacular triumph in Ohio, where he leapt over 14 busses.
