Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
This drama focuses closely on the commitment shown by Eva (Angela Rosa) to her role as an anti-government guerrilla (female guerrilla) in El-Salvador. To bring justice to her people she leaves behind everything, including a promising career as a physician. What use is it to heal people when they may be taken away by the government death squads at any time to be tortured and killed? Beginning in 1978, she took to the jungles and villages, enduring the loss of everyone she cared for in the movement. She is briefly imprisoned by the government but escapes to Montreal, where she becomes a minor celebrity. This development displeases her greatly, and she quietly arranges to return to the battle in her homeland, later to die there.
