Synopsis by Augustine Chay
Finnish writer-director Teemu Nikki’s debut feature film is a black comedy that marries misanthropy with animal rights. Matti Onnismaa stars as Veijo, a deeply antisocial mechanic who has taken up the task of euthanizing the old, sickly, and unwanted pets in his rural community for years. Conflict erupts when he refuses to kill Petri’s (Jari Virman) healthy dog despite accepting payment for the job.
