Synopsis by Rovi
Director Francis Annan’s prison thriller is an adaptation of South African political prisoner Tim Jenkin’s memoir “Inside Out: Escape from Pretoria Prison.” It stars Daniel Radcliffe, Ian Hart, and Daniel Webber in a tale about political prisoners who conspire to break out of Pretoria Central Prison in 1979 during South Africa’s tumultuous apartheid era. The promise of freedom is dependent on making fragile wooden copies of their jailer’s keys and nerve-wracking timing.
