In the near future, the world is controlled by roughly a dozen corporations. One of these corporations, Ashuram, serves as a haven for those in the world with psychic abilities, people who are feared and hated by society at large. These powerful people, known as Es, have the chance within Ashuram's walls to develop their skills and live a sheltered life, but for one E, that comfortable existence is over. Kai has lived his entire life under the protection of Ashuram and has entered the real world for the first time. Shocked by the discrimination and injustice that he sees, Kai finds himself reevaluating everything he has ever learned. Ashuram honed his powers for their own benefit, but Kai might just go from being their most precious resource to their most hated enemy.
