Eli is a rambunctious but loveable Labrador puppy who turns three convicted felons’ world upside down when he arrives at their prison cell. The film follows the three prisoners, who form an unlikely bond as they struggle to transform Eli into a highly-disciplined guide dog in just twelve months, all while charting their own an uncertain path to rehabilitation in the broken American prison system.
