Aldo Monti and Marina Camacho star in this classic Mexican melodrama concerning a hometown hero whose complex plan to avenge the murder of his father finds him ascending the ranks of the local police force. Genaro became a hero after leaving his hometown to seek his fortune, and when he returns the locals all find cause to celebrate. Years ago, Genero's father was killed by the villainous Sabas Cornejo. Now, in order to exact justice, Genero has become the local chief of police.
