Director Raul de Anda's low-budget Spanish-language thriller The Bodyguard follows the exploits of a young bartender who makes the mistake of his life when he signs on to work as a bodyguard for a fearsome mafioso. During his day-to-day, the bodyguard happens to overhear incriminating words being spoken and suddenly finds his life on the line; he must then find a way to emerge from the tumultuous relationship unscathed, gun-in-hand.
