The 1948 Mexican drama El Gallo Giro tells the story of a young man who is prone to violence. After serving time for fighting, the man decides to renounce his past and attempt a singing career. During his efforts he falls in love with a woman who is already engaged to another man. This situation brings back all of the man's worst impulses.
