Israeli director Ariel Vromen's spy thriller is an adaptation of Uri Bar-Joseph's bestselling 2016 novel The Angel: The Egyptian Spy Who Saved Israel. It presents the true story of Ashraf Marwan (Marwan Kenzari), a man who became one of Israel's most important spies despite being the son-in-law of former Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser.
