The young clergyman in this comedy is trying to help the bar-girls, hookers, strippers, and others in his seedy neighborhood in the sex-quarter of Munich. However, almost none of them take his efforts very seriously. One girl who does, Baby (Cleo Kretschmer), is both a bar-girl and a practising witch. She accompanies him on a trip to a particularly disreputable bar where he is hoping to elicit contributions. Instead, they are both beaten up, and they spend time in the hospital together. There, despite his profession, they realize that they have fallen in love. Rather than solving anything, this new development adds to his difficulties.
