Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Billed as "America's Popular Balladeer," Canadian entertainer Ed McCurdy was an all but inescapable presence in the early days of the CBC's television service. Twice a week, McCurdy could be seen on the popular children's program Ed's Place. Meanwhile, his adult fans got their fill with a weekly, half-hour Sunday prime-time series, titled simply Ed McCurdy. This tuneful program was telecast from October 17, 1953 to April 17, 1954.
