Synopsis by Betsy Boyd
The three short films contained in Echoes of Conflict use dark storytelling to convey real-world struggles, political and religious. Night Movie takes viewers to Tel Aviv, where two men, an Israeli soldier and a young Arab, meet face to face on the street. The Cage is a character sketch of a bartender in Israel, who gets drafted unexpectedly. After being kidnapped and locked away, a man makes a risky journey from Argentina to Israel, in Don't Get Involved. Each film communicates the trauma and pain of a land in political crisis.
