Fed up with Peter constantly turning into a giant monster at the slightest provocation, Jim takes it upon himself to find a cure for his condition. But to do that, they have to figure out how Peter became intelligent -- an event which occurred at the same time as his monster alter ego came into being. Desperate for a solution, Jim and Peter try an earthworm mind meld to look into Peter's past as an ordinary puppy.
