Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
Dismissed when released and completely forgotten today, this ten-chapter aviation serial starred real-life aviator Frank Clarke, a stunt pilot in such fare as Wings (1927), Hell's Angels, and Flying Deuces (1939). The story was something about smugglers attempting to steal the "Magic Muffler," a device that made an airplane practically noiseless. The smugglers capture the inventor (Joseph Swickard) as leverage and then unsuccessfully try to kidnap his daughter (Shirley Palmer). The supporting cast of this ineffective and tedious chapterplay included Earl Metcalfe, who actually perished in a plane crash in Burbank in January of 1928, a fate shared by Clarke himself 20 years later.
