Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
With a German title meant to approximate the words "Don Quixote," Dunki-Schott is the name of the Quixotic hero in this routine comedy from director Tobias Wyss. Professor Dunki-Schott (Franz Hohler) is researching the medieval crusaders when his material gets the best of him, and he buys a horse and starts tilting at speeding cars on the expressway. Not satisfied with his crusade against traffic violations, he sets off against pollutants and the cooling tower of a local nuclear reactor. His able assistants include Santschi (Rene Quellet as Sancho Panza) and Doltschi Bea (Dodo Hug as Dulcinea), as well as many villagers who cheer him on.
