Synopsis by Hal Erickson
This film stars Michel Simon, as Irwin Molyneux, a middle-class paterfamilias. Molyneux puts food on the table by writing lurid detective stories under the pen name of Felix Chapel, with plots supplied by his young daughter. When Molyneux's cousin, a vicar, shows up unexpectedly, Irwin's wife, ashamed that her servants have just quit, hides in the kitchen and refuses to come up. Under the spell of Molyneux's novels, the vicar deduces that the wife has been murdered. Directed by Marcel Carné, Drôle de Drame was based on a story by J. Storer Clauston.
