Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Helen Warner (Vera Michelena) and Lawrence Grove (Harry Spingler) are planning to run off together, but on the eve of their elopement, Grove is in a car accident. When he never arrives at Helen's hotel room, she's afraid to return home and decides to strike out on her own. After several years of struggle, she becomes the stenographer to attorney James Wayne (Charles Graham) who, unbeknownst to her, is the husband of her sister, Alice (Clarissa Selwynne). Wayne makes advances toward Helen, and she finally gives in, just a couple of days before the reappearance of Grove. She tells him it is too late for them to reunite, and he threatens to kill the man who ruined her -- if he ever finds out his identity. Wayne finds out about the situation and insists that Helen go with Grove; otherwise, he will reveal himself as Helen's lover, thus ruining Alice's happiness. So Helen agrees to marry Grove and head for the Canadian wilds.
