Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Broadcast variously on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning July 7, 1970, the CBC's Dress Rehearsal was essentially a clearing house for pilot episodes of proposed Canadian TV series. The first six episodes were devoted to the children's program Drop-In, which became part of the CBC's weekly lineup in the fall of 1970. Other successful Dress Rehearsal spinoffs included Ooops and Cabbages and Kings. The series was shown during the summers of 1971, 1972, 1973, and 1974, ending its seasonal run on June 25, 1974.
