Synopsis by Violet LeVoit
A young pianist (Johnny Simmons) dreams of opening his own piano bar in Los Angeles, but he's stymied by a lack of capital and his cluelessness about his future. A prime gig playing at a swanky hotel leads him to a generous cougar benefactor (Amy Landecker), who's happy to trade certain services for seed money. However, his realization that she's married leads to a crisis of conscience. Dreamland marks the directorial debut of Robert Schwartzman, the latest member of the Coppola dynasty to enter showbiz.
