Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Six-year-old Millicent Hawthorne (Dodo Newton) is the classic "poor little rich girl" -- she has all of life's luxuries, but is neglected by her mother (Lizette Thorne). So she runs away and is captured by Mother Gumph, sort of a female Fagin, who trains her to be a pickpocket. As an adolescent, Millicent (now played by Mary Pickford imitator Mary Miles Minter), is hired to dance in a cabaret by its lecherous manager, Kraft (Orral Humphrey). Finally, after years of searching, the Hawthornes find Millicent at the cafe, just as she's being attacked by Kraft. They rescue her from her sordid surroundings and the family is happily reunited.
