Goku and Piccolo's exultation upon vanquishing Frieza is tragically short-lived. Faced with an again-renewed Friez, Goku is unable to rescue Piccolo and Krillin. But their loss galvanizes the enraged Goku into a spectacular transformation, the like of which has not previously been seen even on Dragon Ball Z. Initially telecast in Japan on June 12, 1991, "Transformed at Last" was not seen on American television until October 18, 1999.
