The battle between Goku and Frieza approaches its climax on the doomed planet Namek. Goku is still hopeful, but Frieza shows no signs of diminishing power or resources. Then the tide turns, and it is Frieza who is at Goku's mercy. But despite all appearances, the end of the story still remains an unwritten chapter. "Pathos of Frieza" made its Japanese TV debut on August 14, 1991; the episode was subsequently seen in America on October 28, 1999.
