Synopsis by Hal Erickson
As he grimly awaits his destruction at the hands of Cell, Trunks is surprisingly given a last-minute reprieve. Suddenly relaxing, Cell offers to square off against Trunks -- and any other Z-Fighter who wishes to challenge him -- in a winner-take-all tournament. With the future in the balance, Trunks weighs the offer, knowing full well that Cell cannot be trusted to play fair. The final episode of Dragon Ball Z's "Perfect Cell Saga," "The Cell Games" was broadcast in Japan in 1992, then seen in the United States on November 8, 2000.
