Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Having finished their training at Corin Tower, Team Dragon Ball feels ready to take on the evil Saiyans. To expedite this, the Team employs a telepathic simulator that enables them to undergo a test of combat -- in the virtual reality world of Vegeta's past. But in so doing, the Team makes a frightening discovery about the Saiyan's potential power. "Showdown in the Past" was first telecast in Japan on August 30, 1989; it was later seen in America on November 15, 1996.
