Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
Exhausted after having worked a double shift, Sgt. Friday (Jack Webb) stops by an all-night Laundromat for some cigarettes to discover a young couple attempting to break into the change machine. Narrowly escaping a bullet after confronting the couple, he returns fire; though they escape, a trail of blood points to one of his bullets hitting the mark. When the shooting team arrives to check the scene, they find no evidence of the shot that Friday claims the perpetrator had fired. The male half of the team subsequently turns up dead and his girlfriend attempts to pin the murder on Friday. Called before the shooting board for investigation, things look grim for Friday until the perpetrator's bullet is found lodged between a shelf and the wall.
